Wondering how to see your Google reviews? The answer depends on which reviews you mean — the ones you wrote about places you visited, or the ones customers left about your business. They live in two different places, so this guide covers both, on phone and desktop, in a few taps each.
Skip ahead if you know what you need: the first section is for finding reviews you have written; the second is for business owners who want to read what customers are saying about them.
See the reviews you wrote — on your phone
Every review you have ever posted is collected in one list tied to your Google account.
- Open the Google Maps app and tap your profile picture in the top-right corner.
- Tap Your Profile, then Reviews (older versions call it "Contributions" then "Reviews").
- Scroll the full list of everything you have reviewed. Tap any one to read it, or tap the three-dot menu to edit or delete it.
See the reviews you wrote — on desktop
- Go to google.com/maps and confirm you are signed in (top-right corner).
- Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) at the top-left, then Your contributions.
- Open the Reviews tab to see the complete list.
Only seeing some of your reviews? You are almost certainly signed into the wrong account. Reviews only appear under the exact Google account that posted them — check your work vs. personal login and switch if needed.
See the reviews about your business — the owner's view
If you manage a business, the reviews customers leave about you live in your Google Business Profile, not in your personal contributions list. This is the dashboard you use to read and reply to them.
- Sign in with the Google account that manages the business.
- In Google Search, type your business name or simply search "my business".
- Your Business Profile manager panel appears directly in the results. Click Reviews (or "Read reviews").
- You will see every review, its star rating and date, and a Reply button under each one.
On mobile, the Google Maps app shows the same owner view: tap your profile picture, choose Your Business Profile, and open the reviews section. From here you can respond, and you can flag anything that breaks Google's policies.
Turn on review notifications so you never miss one
Reading your reviews once a month means you are always a few weeks late to reply. A faster reply looks more attentive to the person who wrote it and to everyone reading afterward, so it is worth having new reviews come to you rather than hunting for them.
- Open the Google Maps app and go to Your Business Profile.
- Open Settings, then Notifications.
- Turn on alerts for customer reviews so each new one pings you.
You can also get email alerts through the Business Profile manager on desktop. For a busy Toronto shop or clinic fielding reviews across several locations, this is the difference between a same-day reply and a review that sat ignored for a month.
Reading your reviews strategically
Once you can see them all in one place, use them. Reply to every review — good and bad — because future customers read the replies. Watch for patterns: if three people mention slow response times, that is a fixable operations problem, not just a complaint. And note the dates: Google and customers both weigh recent reviews more heavily, so a wall of five-star reviews from two years ago does less for you than a steady trickle of fresh ones.
That freshness is also a ranking factor. A consistent flow of new, genuine reviews is one of the strongest signals for showing up in the Google Map Pack across Toronto and the GTA. If you are seeing your reviews but wishing there were more of them, building a simple system to earn them is exactly what our local SEO service handles.
Frequently asked questions
How do I see all the Google reviews I have written?
Open the Google Maps app, tap your profile picture, then Your Profile and Reviews — or on desktop go to google.com/maps, open the menu, and choose Your contributions then the Reviews tab. Both lists show every review you've written, and each has a three-dot menu to edit or delete it.
How do I see the reviews customers left about my business?
Sign in with the Google account that manages your business and search your business name, or search 'my business' in Google. Your Google Business Profile dashboard appears with a Reviews section showing every review, its rating, and a Reply button. On mobile, the Google Maps app shows the same manager view under your Business Profile.
Why can't I see my Google reviews?
The most common reason is being signed into the wrong Google account. Reviews you wrote only appear under the account that posted them, and business reviews only appear under the account that manages the profile. Sign out, switch accounts, and check again. A brand-new review can also take a few minutes to show up.
Can I see who left a Google review?
You can see the reviewer's public Google profile name and photo, and sometimes their other public reviews, but Google does not share their email or contact details. Anonymous or deleted accounts may show as 'A Google User' with no further identity available.
